The TURNIER DER SIEGER offers top-level elite sport every year. In addition, the unique atmosphere and the decades-long tradition behind the event are factors that make the equestrian tournament at the Schlossplatz in Münster something very special.
#STORYTIME: The TURNIER DER SIEGER over the years
Did you know? The Westfälischer Reitverein Münster, considered the original organizer of the TURNIER DER SIEGER, was founded in 1835. It is thus the oldest active riding club in Germany.
The club’s first tournament was held in the 1930s on the Westerholt’sche Wiese in Münster, and in 1955 the tournament was held for the first time under the name “Turnier der Sieger”.
Over the decades, the TURNIER DER SIEGER served as the venue for the German Championships in dressage and show jumping (1960). The World Championships for four-in-hand drivers were also contested in Münster (1972).
In 2000, the Turnier der Sieger was completely moved from the Westerholt’sche Wiesen to the Schlossplatz in Münster, where it became a stage of the Riders Tour for the first time in 2003.
The TURNIER DER SIEGER today
From August 25–28, 2022, the 65th Turnier der Sieger will take place at the Schlossplatz in Münster. Against the unique backdrop, around 28,000 spectators will be able to admire top-level sport in 19 different dressage and show jumping competitions over four tournament days. The traditional tournament is one of the highlights of the year not only for equestrian enthusiasts from Münsterland.

Getting there & Parking
The Schlossplatz is located right in the heart of Münster. As a visitor, you can park directly at the Schlossplatz.
Another parking lot is located on Badestraße in front of Stadtbad Mitte.
If you want to arrive by bus, you can get off at the following stops: Landgericht, Neutor, or Schlossplatz. From there, it’s only about 200 meters to the tournament grounds.

Tickets
You can find various tickets for the TURNIER DER SIEGER here. On Thursday, admission to the event and the stands is traditionally free; from the second day of the event, tickets for stands and seating areas can be conveniently pre-ordered online. Admission to the event grounds and the exhibitor area remains free of charge.
