Product Reviews

Every product review is checked for authenticity before publication to ensure that reviews only come from users who have actually purchased or used the reviewed products.

We verify incoming reviews using the following mechanisms:

Manual verification mechanisms:
Exclusive manual review: Every incoming review is manually examined and checked by us. We review the content of the review for logical inconsistencies and other irregularities. For example, by comparing the review with the order history in our merchandise management system to make prior product purchase a necessary condition for publication.

For plausibility checks, we consider the customer's entire review behavior and also examine the content and metadata of the review. We check whether the purchase and review of the product are in a temporal and spatial relationship and whether there are content contradictions. This helps us determine whether the customer actually used the product.

Example:
A customer leaves a review about the product one day before the goods are delivered or claims to have been using it for a month, although the purchase was only a week ago.
Example: A blanket is reviewed with the sentence: “Colour and workmanship of the shoe do not please me.”

The content of the reviews shows that the review cannot match the reviewed product.
We then try to contact the authors of such suspicious reviews to verify the statements in their reviews if necessary. If the circumstances are clarified, the review is adjusted accordingly. If the circumstances for the review submission remain too vague and unclear, the respective review is filtered out. It is neither displayed further nor published at all.

All reviews filtered out in this way are not included in the overall rating displayed.
Information about statistics: Approximately 4% of all reviews are filtered out annually in this way.

No stricter filtering of negative or preference for positive reviews takes place. As long as a review meets the above criteria, it will be published equally regardless of whether it is formulated positively, critically, or even disparagingly.

Review Policy:
We are very happy if you want to review our products. To have your review published, please observe the following guidelines when submitting your review:

• The review may of course contain your opinion and any criticism. However, any form of discrimination and insults will not be tolerated by us.

• It is not allowed to leave advertising for other products in reviews.

• We do not allow reviews from so-called product testers. You must not have received any financial compensation from third parties for the review.

• Reviews must be based on your experience with the product and be truthful. Any form of false claims and attempts at manipulation will not be tolerated.

• In case of violations of our review policy, we reserve the right to temporarily or permanently block user accounts and reviews submitted by them.
