Horseware Ireland Fly Rug Newmarket Fly Protection

Horseware Ireland presents the Fly Rug Newmarket Fly Protection, a well-designed summer rug that combines effective UV protection with reliable Insect Protection. The innovative material concept protects your horse on warm days from annoying flies and intense sunlight – for more comfort in the pasture and paddock.

Reliable Protection in Summer

The novel woven polyester mesh with PVC coating is breathable and particularly durable. It provides effective Fly Protection and reduces the impact of UV rays. This protects sensitive horse skin from fading and sun exposure. The breathable structure supports a pleasant climate under the rug. Even on hot days, your horse remains optimally protected. This makes the rug ideal for daily use during the grazing season.

Comfort Without Chafing

A silky-smooth lining in the mane, shoulder, and tail areas reduces friction and prevents chafing. Sensitive or clipped horses especially benefit from this thoughtful design. The extra-long tail flap provides additional coverage and increases protection against insects. Front leg cutouts support natural freedom of movement in the paddock. The neck holes allow attachment of a separately available neck cover. This way, you can customize the protection.

Secure Fit & Easy Care

The straight chest closure ensures easy putting on and a stable hold. Two cross surcingles and a tail cord securely fix the rug to the horse’s body. Eyelets in the rear area allow the use of leg straps if needed. The washable tail strap makes everyday cleaning easier. The Fly Rug is machine washable at 30 °C and should be air-dried. For storage, a cool, dry place in a breathable storage bag is recommended.
