Velari Sweet Iron Single-Jointed Pelham Bit

Velari presents the Sweet Iron Single-Jointed Pelham Bit, a bit that promotes clear, direct communication and a relaxed mouthfeel. The bit combines pleasant Material properties with stable guidance, offering a reliable connection for a variety of training situations.

Direct Aids

The single-jointed design creates clear signal transmission and helps you deliver subtle rein aids precisely. The mouthpiece forms a stable V-shape upon contact, distributing pressure comfortably. This especially benefits horses with a higher palate by providing gentle influence. The construction supports an even approach to rein contact. Your horse receives a clear, unambiguous signal, building trust in your hand and a consistent connection.

Natural Mouthfeel

The Sweet Iron Material lightly oxidizes with use, stimulating saliva production. This natural reaction encourages a soft, accepting mouth. Many horses show improved chewing activity and relax more in contact. The Material offers a pleasant taste experience that increases bit acceptance. The harmonious combination of shape and surface creates a smooth dialogue between you and your horse. The result is a calm, trusting connection.

Stable Lateral Guidance

The firm bit shanks provide clear orientation and support young or inexperienced horses especially reliably. They stabilize the mouthpiece and prevent lateral slipping. This keeps the bit steady in the horse’s mouth and makes precise riding of turns easier. At the same time, the shanks allow clear aids when applying lateral pressure. These features make the bit a solid choice for everyday training and fine schooling steps.
